나날이 스튜디오, 모바일 원작 후르츠어택 VR 스팀 얼리 액세스에 출시(Juicy VR Shooter Fruit Attacks VR Arrives on Steam Early Access)

나날이 스튜디오의 VR 게임 ‘후르츠어택 VR(Fruit Attacks VR)’ 이 1월 26일 스팀 얼리 액세스를 통해 출시된다. 

‘후르츠어택 VR’ 은 2014년 출시된 자사 모바일 게임 ‘후르츠어택’ 을 원작으로 한다. 모바일 버전은 출시 이후 전 세계 누적 다운로드 수 56만 건 이상 기록, 전 세계 130여 개국 앱스토어 ‘베스트 신규 게임’ 선정 등의 좋은 성과를 거둔 바 있다. 

‘후르츠어택 VR’ 은 과일을 잡아먹는 지구인들에게 분노한 과일 외계인들이 지구를 침공하자 이에 맞설 유일한 무기인 스피커 로봇의 음파를 이용해 지구를 지킨다는 내용의 캐주얼 디펜스 VR 게임이다. 

다양한 종류의 스피커 로봇을 적절하게 교체해가며 여러 특징을 가진 적들을 물리치는 속도감 넘치는 게임 플레이가 특징이다. 특히 HTC Vive 의 양손 컨트롤러를 이용해 곡선 궤적을 전략적으로 슈팅하는 독특한 조작 방식이 돋보인다. 개성 있는 세계관, 귀여운 캐릭터 등 온 가족이 플레이하기에 적절한 콘텐츠를 담고 있다는 것도 ‘후르츠어택 VR’ 만의 특징이다. 

그동안 ‘샐리의 법칙’, ‘타임피쉬’ 등 독창적인 컨셉트의 모바일 게임들을 선보인 나날이 스튜디오는 이번 ‘후르츠어택 VR’ 로 VR 시장 첫 발걸음을 내디딘다. ‘후르츠어택 VR’ 은 스팀 얼리 액세스를 시작으로 올해 1분기 정식 출시하고 오큘러스 리프트, 플레이스테이션 VR 등 주요 VR 기기 시장으로 진출함과 동시에 국내외 VR 아케이드 등을 통해 사용자들과의 접점 확대에 나선다. 

게임은 현재 스팀 ‘출시 예정’ 카테고리에 페이지(http://store.steampowered.com/app/739950/Fruit_Att) 가 오픈된 상태이다. 해당 페이지에서 ‘찜하기’ 로 다양한 소식을 받아볼 수 있다. 나날이 스튜디오의 ‘후르츠어택 VR’ 은 1월 26일 얼리 액세스 이후 스팀에서 내려받을 수 있다.

Fruit Attacks VR is based on the mobile game of the same name launched in 2014. Since its initial release, ‘Fruit Attacks’ has borne some fruitful results. It has recorded over 560,000 downloads worldwide and been featured in the iOS App Store’s ‘Best New Games’ category in nearly 130 countries. 

Fruit Attacks VR is a casual defense shooter taking place during an alien invasion, caused by humanity’s unpleasant penchant for consuming fruit. Players will pilot one of three distinct SATIs, powerful speaker robots whose devastating sound wave attacks are the only weapon capable of destroying the fruit aliens. The game features fast-paced gameplay which rewards quickly swapping SATI on-the-fly in order to effectively deal with different types of enemies. Using the HTC Vive's motion controllers, Fruit Attacks VR offers a unique control system enabling players to tactically bend the trajectory of their shots. With an original setting and cartoonish characters, it delivers contents suitable for all ages. 

Nanali Studios - Creator of inventive mobile games, Sally's Law, Time Fish, and many more - makes their debut in the virtual reality space with Fruit Attacks VR, launching on Steam Early Access on Jan 2018. Nanali Studios is targeting a first-quarter official release, followed by expanded support for other major devices such as Oculus Rift, Sony PlayStation VR, and more at a future date. Furthermore, to engage an even broader audience, Fruit Attacks VR is set to be released in virtual reality arcades throughout South Korea and around the world.
